The below testimonial from Sarah Blair is one of the many reasons, we continue to work so hard in Guatemala for the children, the community, the world.

After four trips to Hope of Life, I can tell you that God is doing amazing things in and through this ministry!  I continue to be blown away that God allows us to participate in what He is doing in Guatemala in this way.  One of the things I love most about Hope of Life is that it is largely a local ministry- run by and for Guatemalans, with Americans simply coming alongside them to help them do what they are doing.

This is SO important when doing ministry in other countries.  The other thing that initially drew me towards partnering with Hope of Life is that they are open to all different ages and skill levels coming to work with them.  My eight year old daughter will be making her third trip to Hope of Life this spring and she cannot wait!

There are so many ways that this has opened my eyes to our responsibility to the rest of the world.  Seeing the children at the hospital year after year has especially been moving.  I have seen children right after they were rescued, who were on the verge of death, and then returned to see them a year later when they are thriving, laughing, growing.  It is amazing!  Our church has two more trips planned and just recently committed to return to a small village that we visited last year to partner with them on some projects for a few years to come, developing relationships within the community as we go.

Sometimes when we see all the suffering in the world it can be overwhelming; we can feel helpless and powerless. But when I partner with Hope of Life I see that a few willing people really can make a difference by being the hands and feet of Jesus!
