Below is our December Sponsorship Newsletter.  One of the benefits of sponsoring a child is our monthly newsletter used to updated and inform you on sponsorships.

As sponsors during this Christmas season, you have the opportunity to go beyond a $30 monthly gift by spending time in prayer for your sponsored child. Whether you do so individually or make it a family activity, prayer can be a fundamental part of your sponsorship commitment.

Sponsorship provides children around the world with physical and emotional health through nutrition, medical care, quality education, and spiritual nurturing. While Hope of Life works diligently to deliver necessary resources to those in dire need, we also depend on the love and encouragement of sponsors to provide the children with a lasting support. Christmas is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate that there is more to this holiday than gifts, gifts, and more gifts. It’s the time of year that love and kindness should be given freely to friends, family, and of course, your sponsored child.

Presents are fun, but prayer is better!

Many of these children come from difficult backgrounds and carry heavy burdens as they live in some of the most poverty-stricken areas of the world. As we go into the Christmas season, we get so wrapped up in the gifts and running around that we forget what the real meaning of Christmas is: the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Making a commitment to pray for your sponsored child can be an integral aspect of your sponsorship as they continue to grow and develop. While your gifts are very much appreciated, the power of your prayers and God’s love gives them eternal hope.

Sponsorship truly transforms lives. Take the opportunity during this wonderful time of year, to make your relationship with your child truly count. Gifts, bows, and glitter bags are great, but it is through your prayers and letters of encouragement that you are given the opportunity to invest in your sponsored child’s spiritual development. With your help, we are providing that gifts can come in other forms besides a box or a bag, it can be a blessing in disguise with opportunities for enrichment they would otherwise never receive.  Begin making a difference in the life of a child today through another form of a gift: the power of prayer.
