I am in my third year of teaching preschool at Hope of Life at the Village of Transformation. I have been blessed to teach various ages from 2 to the transition class which ranges from age 5 to 9. I have one student that is in her third year with me. Her name is Estelita, and she is now 8 years old. The transformation that I have seen in this young lady paints a beautiful picture of God’s grace.

Estelita was brought to Hope of Life when she was a baby. She has a rare syndrome that affects her growth. With that being said, she has more personality that you would think in her little body. She is funny, a great friend, and much smarter than most people realize. The first two years of working with her, I saw progress, but I had no idea of her potential.

This year, Estelita has completely come out of her shell. She is friends with every on of her classmates, and she desires learning more and more! She answers questions in class, loves puzzles, and gives the biggest hugs. This girl has taught so much about God’s love and patience for each one of us. The amazing part is that she is only one of the many beautiful stories here at Hope of Life. I can’t wait to see what else God has in store for Estelita!
