It is often said that “kids say the darndest things”, but—they also have the most amazing ideas!  At Liberty Christian Academy in Lynchburg, Virginia- a Pre-K class had the question, “where does water go after we flush the potty?”  They then began to learn about the properties of water, the water cycle, how water travels from one place to the next, and finally how water gets to other houses.

After learning about the water system in America, they became concerned for those countries not as fortunate.  They watched videos of other children getting water from polluted water holes—and they even practiced carrying jugs of water as they had seen families do in underdeveloped countries!

Finally these ‘little missionaries’ wanted to help, and had the amazing idea to “buy a well” for a village.  The staff came up with a carwash to raise the money and for 2 days the kids washed cars in order to help other children across the globe!

“As we saw from the smiles on their faces, this was not a chore at all, but a labor of love filled with mission and purpose for a cause much bigger. As I always say, little people can do BIG things…especially when they’ve been taught that “with God ALL things are possible”. We raised $563 and in their minds, someone across the world is dancing over their new well today.”  -A member of the staff

We are so thankful for the selfless work these little ones and their teachers accomplished in order to provide clean water for a village in Guatemala!  They are truly a reminder of God’s love for the less fortunate, and that: “Little people can do BIG things!”
