There are so many opportunities to serve at Hope of Life. It is one of the most incredible parts of being a full-time missionary in Guatemala. With such a vast and wide variety of ways to minister here, each experience is a blessing. One of my favorite things to do while serving in Guatemala is to see the country side, travel through new towns, visit new villages and have the opportunity to meet and minister to new people.

The previous week I had the wonderful opportunity to join the child sponsorship team and go out to a couple of remote villages. The team was there to distribute and bless many families with food bags. Several sponsors had sent gifts for their sponsored children in these villages and many new children were enrolled into the sponsorship program. We shared hugs, smiles, laughter and love. As a nurse, I was there to distribute much needed medications and vitamins. Ultimately, we were there to share the love of Christ.

Each of us have a calling. We all have a mission field. Some of us are called across the world, others are called to the mission field in their own back yard. Paula and I are thankful God called us here to serve at Hope of Life and for the many opportunities it brings to make an impact on so many lives.

Galatians 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
