Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday where we gather with friends and family for a delicious feast.  It is a special day where we take a moment to be thankful. Most of us have many reasons to be thankful. We give thanks for our friends and families, warm meals and a roof over our heads. However, we live such busy lives that we sometimes take things for granted and do not stop to see how truly blessed we really are.

Many of you have come to Hope of Life International and have given your time and have witnessed the conditions families live in. Children are suffering from malnourishment and live in hard conditions, many of whom do not have a warm meal daily.

But through the suffering we also see thankfulness. We see it in the children’s smiles and we see it in their improving health. Your love and dedication to helping the impoverished people of Guatemala has given thousands something to be thankful for.

In this special month, all of us at Hope of Life International would like to say, Thank You. Thank you to all of our donors who have given their time and money to help Hope of Life grow. Your love and devotion to our ministry has change Guatemalan’s lives. With your support, we have built many new homes, provided clean water to families and their children, rescued critically malnourished children, and distributed more food and medication to villages in the area.

Thank you to our sponsors, your love for these children has given them hope for a brighter future. Our children now have an opportunity to go to school with new school supplies, are provided with meals every day, and are finally able to enjoy being a kid.

As we gather with friends and family this Thanksgiving Day, please pray for our children and the people of Guatemala, keep them in your hearts, and keep the smiles of all the children and friends you have created here at Hope of Life in your heart. Thank you and God Bless.
