Water, like religion and ideology, has the power to move millions of people. Since the very birth of human civilization, people have moved to settle close to it. People move when there is too little of it. People move when there is too much of it. People journey down it. People write, sing and dance about it. People fight over it. And all people, everywhere and every day, need it.

Communities.

They are a swarming, moving, living, and breathing organism. When one part of the organism is hurt or damaged, the entire being is affected.

There are a few things that dirty water does to a community.

It reduces its potential: sick children don’t go to school, so they do not receive a full education. In turn, villages that lack access to clean water are pouring out a generation that is uneducated and will not have the resources necessary to pull itself out of poverty.

It reduces its lifespan: the child mortality rate is one of the highest in the region. Families are literally burying a generation because the only other option they have, is thirst. Children are dying at an electrifying rate, when instead they should be running, and playing, and laughing.

It reduces its dignity: When aid comes in, there is a sense of humility that shivers through the entire village. There is thankfulness, there is genuine gratitude, and there is truly needs being met. But imagine, a community that provides for itself,  and that no longer needs aid because its members can work and thrive, and provide for themselves.

That’s REVOLUTION.

When parents no longer bury their children before they can even walk.

When children get an education that they deserve, so they can make a place for themselves in this world.

When an entire community swells with pride because they have stood on their own feet and provided for their own needs.

World Water Day is right around the corner, and this year, we’re going to REVOLUTIONIZE a community in Guatemala.

But we need your help to do it.

On Saturday, March 22nd, donate whatever you can to help us reach our goal of $5,000.

Every donation helps… $5, $10, $50, or $1,000… a little at a time, and slowly this community, will start the revolution of a community in Guatemala.
